Job description
A seasoned Public Relations Officer is required by an advertising agency in Techno Park, Stellenbosch.
The agency specialises in the marketing of shopping centres, so the pace is fast and the deadlines tight, necessitating a highly organised, focused and capable Public Relations Officer.
As the PRO, you will:
•Identify public relations opportunities for various brands
•Develop PR strategies for commercial brands and CSI projects
•Build and maintain excellent relationships with the marketing teams and clients
•Build and maintain excellent relationships with the press/media
•Ensure creation of original press release materials 
•Ensure distribution of press material within deadlines, to relevant media
•Manage general PR administration
•Report back to clients on PR coverage

Requirements
•Tertiary qualification in Public Relations
•Minimum five years' PR experience
•Existing relations with various media groupings
•Excellent communication skills: written and verbal
•Proven organisational and multitasking skills
•Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel

Business acumen and sound financial skills

•Self-starter personality with enthusiastic, "can do" attitude in accepting work/new challenges 
•Effective interpersonal skills, working well across functions
