The TVET Reform Support Programme, co-financed by the European Union, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Federal Republic of Germany, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), GmbH is seeking candidates for its Islamabad office for the following positions:
Job Title: Senior Technical Advisor-C3 (Reference no.: TVET 2013/033)
Qualifications and Experience:
•    Master’s degree in business administration or relevant subjects from a recognized university
•    At least 5 years of professional work experience in a related position in TVET or Education
•    At least 2 years of experience working in an international organization/NGO implementing skills development initiatives
•    Experience in financial management and ability to read and interpret financial reports and statements
•    Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, some knowledge of budgeting, contract management or financial management for contract preparation is a plus
•    Excellent command of ICT technologies and MS Office
Job Description:
•    Managing the Learning Regions (LR) sub-component of Component 3 in coordination with the Component Leader and in accordance with the commission and programme goals and activities agreed with the partner and GIZ corporate principles
•    Acting as task lead for a result-based component monitoring of component activities
•    Carrying out field visits of FIT projects to ensure deliverables and objectives are achieved according to programme objectives and indicators
•    Integrating results and experience into teamwork and other relevant groups
•    Capturing and analysing information on FIT projects published in the media and preparing proposals for efficient communication measures in coordination with the Communications Officer.
Job Title: Technical Advisor Teaching & Learning Material (TLM) TU (Reference no: TVET 2013/027)
Qualifications and Experience:
•    Master’s degree in Technical Education or a relevant/related field
•    Experience as a TVET trainer would be an asset
•    At least 7 years’ experience with designing, developing, implementing and evaluating TLM material
•    Familiarity with modem learning theories and their application in training courses
•    Ability to adapt appropriate Open Educational Resources to given contexts and learning activities
•    Ability to translate learning outcomes and learning content in TLM solutions facilitating the learning process of different target groups
•    Familiarity with emerging technologies and their use in a training environment
Job Description:
•    Enabling the adoption of modem teaching and learning methods through development of learner-centred TLM
•    Facilitating the use of Open Educational Resources to enrich the variety of support materials in an efficient way
•    Developing annual plans with budgets regarding TLM development activities
•    Identifying relevant experts and organizations to complete TLM assignments
•    Managing, organising and coordinating the workload of TLM developers and ensuring that they adhere to quality criteria and time
•    Defining TLM development processes, templates, and guidelines in consultation with stakeholders
•    Adopting best practices for structuring and designing TLM in the given technical fields
•    Identifying learning support needs for trainees in programmes at different qualification levels
•    Coordinating and collaborating with competency standard and curriculum developers to align TLM content with curricula content, ensuring that the learning content is set in a meaningful and realistic context for the learning
•    Designing baseline studies along with teachers to evaluate input of TLM utilization
•    Coordinating and collaborating with active teachers to evaluate the learning experiences and aptitudes of the trainees before and after making available modernized TLM
•    Organising capacity building measures in the field of modern TLM development
•    Supporting capacity building of TLM developers to form a pool of experts
•    Organizing the development of TLM for selected training programmes proof reads TLM documents
Job Title: Technical Advisor Curricula Implementation^ (Reference no.: TVET 2013/025)
Deciding whether specific curricula are suitable for concerned TVET institutes Identifying support needs of TVET institutes in the context of curriculum implementation Suggesting useful and realistic infrastructure improvements for curricula implementing TVET institutes.
