Senior HR Assistant Jobs in Agha Khan University 2014

The incumbent will provide HR related support to the assigned areas i.e. recruitment, benefit administrationcompensation management and training and development

Specifically s/he will be responsible to:
assist in screening applications received through advertisements, announcements, referrals and walk-in candidates and forward the same to the concerned department heads 

arrange interviews for shortlisted candidates and follow-up to ensure that interviews / meetings take place as per schedule 

prepare the necessary documents and coordinate with the concerned department(s) to ensure that the pre-employment and on-boarding activities are conducted smoothly 

ensure that confirmation of staff should be done in a timely manner by coordinating with the concerned department(s) 

conduct primary source verification of employee credentials, educational documents and employment references 

assist in performance appraisal activity 

ensure correct and timely employment data entry and update in PeopleSoft 

process confirmation of employment, contract renewals and conclusions 

assist in preparation of service agreements and maintenance of training records 

assist in administration of leaves, loans and medical entitlement. 

Requirements 

Bachelors with one to two years relevant experience, candidates pursuing additional qualification in Human Resources will have added advantage 

fluency in spoken and written English 

ability to work under pressure 

ability to diplomatically handle difficult/sensitive issues or candidates and maintain confidentiality 

knowledge of HR practices 

proficiency in computer software packages (MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
