Young London Today is a semi-independent provider delivering accommodation and support to young people who are leaving care age 16+. We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and results driven individual with commitment and passion for improving outcomes for young people.
The role has a strong mix of fundraising and business development responsibilities. There is a focus on obtaining funding from government led organisations and institutions. You will see applications through from pre-qualifying questionnaires to writing applications; generate income through detailed written applications to grant making trusts. You will also be involved in organising events, engaging supporters and volunteers to raise funds by building up local media contacts and media awareness to ensure maximum exposure for the organisation.
To succeed in this role you will be a self-motivator, confident working independently an excellent communicator with skills and abilities to write engaging written responses to applications. You will have QCF or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) and ideally be experienced in writing and submitting tenders and funding applications.
